Mainit Sulfuric Hot Spring, Maco Comval

Went to this tireless place in Masara Maco, Compostela Valley, e.i. Mainit Sulfuric Hot Spring.
We're there yesterday, Sunday, August 19, 2018.
This is already my 3rd time visit in the place yet, the excitement and the good vibes are still the same!

Mainit Hot Spring is in actuality a steaming waterfall.
Yes, it is!
That's what makes it amazing! This is where I first ever experience a steaming waterfall!!
Long story short, there's hot spring source kilometers away, so the warm waters cascade down to the mountains. The yellowish color of the surface are actually mineral deposits.

"Is there a volcano nearby?", that was my first thought during the first visit.
Existence of hot spring is a sign that something's going on down under.
And yes, Maco, Comval is the home of Mt. Leonard Kniazeff,  one of the 22 active volcanoes in the Philippines as identified by Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
If you could have small talks with the locals, they'd say there were group of mountaineers tried to explore the source and they said it's quite far.

Sulfuric warm waters are known to have natural health benefits.
Personally, it never failed me feel good every after soak.
You have to see and experience it for yourself!

How to get there:
Let's all have our jump-off at Tagum City Bus Terminal folks!
Just look for the double tired jeep going to Masara, Maco, Comval.

Fare: 50php
It will take you approx. 2.5 hrs. straight to the place. All depends on loading/unloading of passengers. Just give the konduktor a heads-up na baba ka nang Sulfuric Hot Spring.

Entrance: 10php (yez...10 petot lng!)
Umbrella Shade w/ Table: 100php
Pwede ring mag-overnyt guys (for adventure seekers out there!) Just bring your tent and all your overnight camping stuffs.

Tips:
♥for the mode of transpo, don't rely on jeepney or bus; might as well hire a single motor (habal2x), but sorry haven't asked how much;
♥the best talaga magdala ng sasakyan n'yo guys w-wheels or single motor, kerri!
♥punuan sa Mainit on weekends ha, so alam na...padami nang padami na kasi nakakaexplore sa place

What to Bring:
1. Food, Food, Food (magugutom kayo promise! Dahil siguro mas mabilis ang metabolism naten pag nasa steaming environment)
2. Clothes (xempre po pamalit...hahah!)
3. Camera
4. Magbaon ng sang sakong chikka

Reflection:
Times like this, where you are given the chance to experience the gift of nature, always gives me that invigorating feels. Life give me more meaning when outdoors. I'm sharing, perhaps anyone may relate.

21-Day Challenge

(Diary ng mga Titas)
This 21 day challenge is in fact eating healthy, doing daily physical activity, and mainly, building a positive mind.

Healthy eating for us is opting for healthier food options.
First thing first is by replacing rice to corn grits (bugas mais a.k.a. kalimbugas).
It is good for controlling sugar levels.
We will also incorporate oatmeal recipes for meals, especially breakfast.
Lastly, fruits/ veggies option for smoothie are : Carrots, Apple, Cucumber, Avocado, Calamansi, Ginger, Banana.
Well for viand or dish, will be plant-based such as/but not limited to the green leafy veggies.
Will be using vegetable oil for cooking, if there's a need to.
For physical activity will be walking, the much safer work out choice!
30 minutes of kindda-fast walking 5x a week is a challenge that we'll dare.
Jogging is plus though.
Above all this, building a positive mind is the greatest purpose.
Positive thinking for positive LIFE!

Doing this challenge with friends makes it a fun activity.
We're actually a force of 3 on this challenge.
I will be posting updates per week, since it is a 3-week challenge, with pictures of course.
Today is the official start: August 14, 2018 (PH time)
So this challenge will last up to September 3, 2018.
All the best!

ps: official start weight and sugar levels are 'to follow'

Color Run, Fun Run

Color run 2018 of Tagum City, Davnor, started at the new city hall this morning at 4am.

Such a weekend galore!
But before the official START,
There was registration and distribution of color powders;
zumba craze for all;
And, the welcoming of the youth and not-so-youth!

Fun is being with crazy people
Friends are fun, so friends are crazy!
(Ha ha ha katawa!!😄😂)
3Km walk/run took us (this 3 gals!) 31 mins all in.
Yes, we're beginners! & this is our first!

Time spent with those who give you the purest joy in your heart is always the best gift we could ever have!
Time well spent guys! More of this!
Salamat nang bonggang-bonggang bongbong!!

Reflection:
This activity gave me the realization that I am really an adult now! (Not yet that old though! Hahah!) Youth are all over, I could see my younger self in them, & everyone is enjoying especially during the 'color shower' part. So, no matter what our age is we can always have fun, not just that, sweating is always good for the body.
Age is just a number. Having fun, loving the outdoors, loving life in general is not by age basis it's innate.

Spending Time In Nature

Time spent in nature is really of immense gravity for our most favorable health!

We can be more active.
Doing the daily errands can be easier, lighter and faster;
We become more relaxed
that the greens of nature can be so de-stressing;

Our concentration improves.
Focus at work, at school, focus in everything that we do could be lucid;
Your risk of any disease and high blood pressure will be lowered.
For walking and just simply going outside is already a good exercise for the whole body;
The exposure to Mr. Sun has a lot of benefits to offer.

So, let's go out and spend more time to our mother nature!
